Colts' Omlid claims 5A girls title.

Thurston's Erica Omlid claimed the title at the 5A girls state golf tournament at the Trysting Tree Origins of the name

Omlid, who finished eighth at state last year, shot a 5-over par 77 to finish a 9-over, one stroke better than Summit's Molly Black.

Omlid, the two-time defending Midwestern League champion who signed to play at Oregon next season, led the Colts to fourth. STATE PREP GOLF

Summit, with four golfers in the top nine, finished 98 strokes ahead of second-place Bend. Stephani Stalcup tied for 29th as Marshfield finished eighth.

Springfield's Katie Maixner finished 27th, and Churchill teammates Catherine Joyce and Kristin Robet placed 34th and 36th, respectively.

Lindsay Reeve's fourth-place finish at the 4A/3A/2A/1A girls state golf tournament at Eagle Crest Golf Course Eagle Crest Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course located in Centreville, Nova Scotia. The course was designed and built by Osbourne & Garnet Ward and is owned by the same.  led Sisters to the team title.

Boys state golf

Justin Kadin's 6-under 66 clinched the 5A tournament for Crescent Valley at the Trysting Tree Golf Club.

Kadin, the medalist, finished seven strokes ahead of Sherwood's Connor Rumpf and eight up on Marshfield's Kyle Crawford, who led the Pirates to fifth place.

Churchill's Colin Inglis placed tied for 10th at 5-over par and North Eugene's Austin Atkinson tied for 13th at 6-over. Springfield's Kelly Barley tied for 20th at 9-over, and teammates Cameron Allen and Nick Thrasher thrasher: see mimic thrush.

Marist's Robbie Pitts was the individual winner at the 4A boys state tournament at the Stone Creek Golf Club on Tuesday.

Pitts finished at 1-under 143, and teammates Jack Pennington Jack Pennington (born September 3, 1953), is a former NASCAR driver from Augusta, Georgia.

He was an ace in late model dirt track racing before he moved up to the Busch Series in 1989 making six starts, finishing with 2 top tens.
 and Allen Kelley were 6 and 10 over, respectively, for fourth and fifth place. The Spartans finished second to Phoenix by 10 strokes.

Siuslaw's Jason Garcia finished 19th and Dustin Dobson tied for 25th to led the Vikings to sixth place.

Westside Christian's Eric Grimberg shot a 1-over 73 on Tuesday at the 3A/2A/1A boys state golf tournament at the Stone Creek Golf Club for medalist honors.
