Coltec Aerospace receives order for F-18 E/F Landing Gear.

Aircraft designed primarily to secure control of essential airspace by destroying enemy aircraft in combat. Designed for high speed and maneuverability, they are armed with weapons capable of striking other aircraft in flight.

The landing gear systems will be produced at Coltec's Menasco Aerosystems plant in Fort Worth, Texas Fort Worth is the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas, 18th-largest city in the United States[1], and voted one of "America’s Most Livable Communities. . John Cybulski, senior vice president, aerospace, Coltec Industries, noted, "The F-18 E/F will be one of the Navy's primary programs well into the 21st century, and we're proud to be a significant contributor." Coltec Aerospace previously was named to produce fuel pumps for the GE F414 engine, which will power the F-18 E/F.
