Colorgraphic Launches Production on Quad TV Display Card Using 4 FOCUS FS401 ASICS.

The Predator LT TV is a quad, VGA (Video Graphics Array) The display standard for the PC. All PC display adapters support VGA, and Windows machines boot up in "VGA mode" before switching to higher resolutions.  quality, PC-to-TV display system, offering 4 TV-out ports. This system allows a PC's VGA quality image to simultaneously be connected to 4 TV's (Quad) utilizing FOCUS Enhancements' FS401 ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) Pronounced "a-sick." A chip that is custom designed for a specific application rather than a general-purpose chip such as a microprocessor. . The FOCUS FS401 provides the TV-out capability to this quad system. Colorgraphic's display systems have been found in military applications (Trident Nuclear Submarine), financial institutions (large institutional traders), 911 emergency dispatch monitors, and engineering CAD displays. The Predator LT TV is well suited for applications such as airline flight information and reservation systems.

The Predator LT TV uses four, independent S3 Savage 4 video controllers. It provides Composite NTSC/ PAL and S-Video external video outputs and supports resolutions up to 1600x1200, non-interlaced @ 85 Hz. Moreover, it can be installed in any system running Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0 or 2000. The Predator LT TV will be available for shipment in May 2000 and will be priced at approximately $700 per board.
