Robert Butler, M.D., (August, 1784 to July 31, 1853) was a physician and was elected to serve as the State Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Virginia, serving from 1846 until his death.

Founded in 1982, ISSA has chapters in more than 20 countries and hosts an annual conference. ). In 2004, the ISSA recognized CTU as "Organization of the Year," and in 2005 CTU became the first institution ever to be recognized by the ISSA as a Center of Excellence for information security education.

Butler has an impressive background of experience comprising a diverse range of fields. He began his career nearly 20 years ago as a Systems Administrator, followed by several technology-related roles with companies in a variety of industry sectors. He also served as President and CEO of Abacus Data Systems, Inc. from 1995 to 2002.
