Colorado Rockies Choose Daktronics to Upgrade Facility with Integrated Video, Scoring and Digital Advertising System.

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Daktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq:DAKT) announced today the signing of a contract with the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club to upgrade Coors Field with a new large ProStar(R) video display and additional light emitting diode (LED) displays. The value of the contract exceeds $2 million, with installation scheduled to be completed prior to the start of the 2005 baseball season.

Daktronics designed and installed much of the existing scoring and display system in 1995, prior to the development of its ProStar(R) LED video technology. The existing cathode ray tube (CRT) video screen in the main scoreboard in left field will be replaced with a large ProStar(R) screen measure approximately 27 feet high by 48 feet high with 352 x 624 Pure Pixel(TM) resolution.

Also included in the display system upgrade are three new ProAd(R) digital advertising displays, which will be used to show a wide variety of content, including game in progress information, statistics, advertiser messages, public service announcements, graphics, animation, and video clips. Two of the fascia-mounted displays will measure approximately four feet high by 218 feet wide, and be installed along the first and third base lines. A third ProAd(R) display, to be installed in front the "Rockpile" in center field, will measure approximately six feet high by 60 feet wide.

The Colorado Rockies will become the eighth Major League Baseball team to operate a Daktronics super system, bringing scoring, statistics, out of town game information, digital advertising and live and recorded video into an truly integrated system designed and manufactured for greater entertainment value, hardware and software compatibility and more efficient operation. A total of 24 major league ballparks and nearly 100 minor league facilities use Daktronics equipment.
