Colorado MEDtech, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMED), a Boulder, Colorado-based provider of advanced medical technology outsourcing services and medical imaging products, announced it will demonstrate its Link-iT(TM) technology and Red-M(TM) Bluetooth(TM) wireless medical device connectivity in a clinical care environment at Booth 1707 of the Medical Design and Manufacturing West Exposition and Conference (MD&M West 2002) to be held February 5-7 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The exhibit, "25 Years of Innovation in Medical Device Outsourcing," demonstrates a broad range of Colorado MEDtech's design, development, and manufacturing capabilities, including device and disposables development, software, medical device connectivity, manufacturing, systems components for medical imaging, and ultrasound accessories.

Using wireless networking (Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11) and Ethernet technologies via PDAs, workstations, and wireless laptop systems, Colorado MEDtech will feature communications technology platforms for monitoring and controlling multiple devices, including vital signs monitors, IV pumps, and diagnostic and therapeutic devices.

Medical device connectivity applications on display will include Colorado MEDtech's Link-iT technology and Red-M's wireless technologies connecting medical instrumentation to Hospital Information Systems, mobile health care professionals, and to the Internet. Colorado MEDtech will demonstrate benefits to medical device manufacturers and health care providers, including quality of care, improved equipment service, and portability of clinical data.

Colorado MEDtech's technology can be applied to existing instruments in the hospital and to future medical devices, and is expected to reduce development and product costs.
