Link-iT(TM) is a technology platform supporting the rapid development of wireless and/or wired connectivity solutions. In its hard-wired configuration, Link-iT offers connections to multiple OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  medical devices, and includes data conversion from vendor-specific protocols to generic HL7 messages. Bill Wood, Senior Vice President of Product Development and Technology, will present "Applying Connectivity Technologies to the Medical Setting" at the Vendor Products Sessions on Sunday, January 27, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Wood will discuss emerging connectivity technologies such as 3G, Bluetooth, and Internet 2 and their potential contribution to improved patient healthcare. Areas of particular focus will include the potential for cost reduction and clinical quality improvements with connectivity of legacy devices to the HIS.

Colorado MEDtech will also demonstrate its Link-iT technology at its exhibit, booth 3647. It will also be demonstrating use of the Red-M(TM) system for wireless Bluetooth connectivity. The demonstration will feature a multipoint network model, including connectivity to Bluetooth-enabled Link-iT systems. Colorado MEDtech and Red-M announced their alliance in September 2001. The demonstration will be available during exhibit hours.
