Colorado Conservation Voters (CCV) Names Christopher Mann New Executive Director.

DENVER -- The board of directors of the Colorado Conservation Voters (CCV) has appointed as its new executive director Christopher Mann, who previously served as associate director of the Western U.S. District, Trust for Public Lands, and who has over 11 years of expertise in candidate and ballot measure campaigns in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and other western states.

CCV, founded in 1999, is the nonpartisan political voice in Colorado's environmental community and has as its mission the election of an environmental majority in the Colorado State Legislature.

"Mr. Mann is the leader to take us to the next level in electing pro-environment candidates in Colorado," said Andrew Currie, CCV chairman of the board. "In 2004 more pro-environment candidates were elected to the state legislature than ever before, and there is still a great deal of work to be done. Mr. Mann brings the skills to expand our success in 2006 and beyond."

"Coloradans deserve elected officials who will fight for clean water, clean air, sensible solutions to the drought, and growth policies that protect our health and our economy," said new CCV Executive Director Christopher Mann. "I look forward to working to elect many more pro-environment candidates across the state."

Prior to his work at the Trust for Public Lands, Mann managed campaigns for several pro-environment candidates for statewide office and Congress in New Mexico, Wyoming, and California. He has also worked as a legislative aide for U.S. Congressman Bobby Rush in Washington, D.C.
