ColorDesk Software Now Bundled with Casio's QV-100, QV-120, and QV-300 Digital Cameras.


LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1996--ColorDesk Inc. (COLORDESK), developers of consumer Internet imaging solutions for the PC Photography market today announced that Casio, Inc. (CASIO) will include ColorDesk Photo 2.0 and ColorDesk Grabber 2.0 Software with the QV-100, QV-120, and the QV-300 Digital Cameras distributed in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .

CASIO customers will now have a simple easy-to-use solution for working with and enhancing any color photo taken with a CASIO QV Digital Camera.

COLORDESK has worked closely with CASIO to deliver two customized software See custom software.  applications that compliment CASIO's QV Digital Camera product line.

ColorDesk Photo 2.0 (Photo 2.0) a second generation consumer image enhancement See image editing.  application, is based on COLORDESK'S patented Color Matching and Color Correction Altering the colors in an image in order to print or display it properly or for special effects. Depending on the application, color correction can be a significant problem if the resulting image must be approved or a purchase is made because of color choice.  technologies. Utilizing step-by-step wizards a user can, without any previous image-editing experience, master the product in just a few minutes and achieve great results.

Photo 2.0 is so automatic and so easy to use that no documentation is required. Photo 2.0 features AutoFinish which fixes any poor quality image by automatically adjusting exposure, contrast, black point, white point, and color balance In photography and image processing, color balance (sometimes gray balance, neutral balance, or white balance) refers to the adjustment of the relative amounts of red, green, and blue primary colors in an image such that neutral colors are reproduced correctly.  of any photo with a single click.

Photo 2.0 also lets the user re-size, crop, flip and rotate an image. Additionally, Photo 2.0 incorporates the industry's best Color Matching System. Users are assured of crisp accurate color from CASIO'S QV Digital Cameras faithfully reproduced on the users monitor or local printer.

ColorDesk Grabber 2.0 (Grabber 2.0) allows the user to capture a full screen image and turn it into a working photo. Grabber 2.0 screens can also be uploaded to any CASIO QV Digital Camera. Grabber 2.0 can, for example, be used to upload Microsoft PowerPoint slides from the PC directly to any CASIO QV Digital Camera. CASIO customers can then connect their digital camera directly to a PC monitor and make a presentation.

New Support for PictureMall

ColorDesk is also pleased to announce that the software bundled with CASIO'S QV Digital Cameras will be the first to feature PictureMall, an online shopping mall for ordering photo finishing items and photo-personalized merchandise.

Photo 2.0 will feature one-button access to ColorDesk's electronic commerce site on the World Wide Web. CASIO customers will now be able to send any photo taken with their CASIO QV digital cameras directly to PictureMall.

Customers will be able to order photo reprints from participating photo finishers or order photo-personalized merchandise from a variety of PictureMall merchants. With just a few clicks of the mouse, the user can place an order and upload an image to the PictureMall server.

PictureMall orders and corresponding photos are then processed and sent to the appropriate online merchant. PictureMall merchants then fulfill the order and ship the finished goods directly to the customer.
