Peiffer, formerly President of the company's Raleigh Raleigh (rôl`ē, räl`ē), city (1990 pop. 207,951), state capital, and seat of Wake co., central N.C.; the site was selected for the capital in 1788, and the city was laid out and inc. 1792.  Division, has been with Colony Homes for 17 years.

Bradbury has served as both CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and Chairman of the Board of Colony Homes. Peiffer's promotion allows him to focus full time on the role of Board Chairman.

2001 was Colony's best financial year to date. The Atlanta-based company closed 2045 homes with a gross volume of $248 million. It currently has Divisions in Atlanta Atlanta (ətlăn`tə, ăt–), city (1990 pop. 394,017), state capital and seat of Fulton co., NW Ga., on the Chattahoochee R. and Peachtree Creek, near the Appalachian foothills; inc. 1847. , Raleigh and Charlotte. Colony specializes in entry level, affordable homes and is considered an extremely innovative homebuilder.

Peiffer began his career at Colony Homes as a punchout specialist and has worked his way up through the organization holding numerous positions including Builder and Production Manager. When the company moved into the Raleigh market six years ago, he was chosen by Bradbury to head up that effort. Colony is now the number three builder in the Raleigh market, holding a significant share of its price point.

As President of the Raleigh Division, Peiffer also held a position on the company's Leadership Team. "I am excited about the challenge this opportunity presents," says Peiffer, "And I look forward to working with the Leadership Team in an enhanced capacity."
