Colonial Data Technologies announces public offering of 2,300,000 shares.

NEW MILFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 1995--Colonial Data Technologies Corp. (AMEX Symbol: CDT) announced today that it commenced a public offering of 2,300,000 shares of common stock at $22.625 per share, of which 1,500,000 shares are being sold by the company and 800,000 are being sold by selling stockholders.

The managing underwriters for the offering are First Albany Corporation, NatWest Securities Limited and Volpe, Welty & Company.

The net proceeds from the sale of shares by the company will be used for general corporate purposes, including financing the company's leasing activities, working capital, new product introductions, expansion of research and development activities and expansion of customer service, sales and marketing operations.

Colonial Data Technologies Corp. designs, develops and markets telecommunications products that support intelligent network services being developed and implemented by the regional Bell operating companies and other telephone operating companies. The company's principal products are devices that support Caller ID, a service that allows subscribers to view the telephone number and the directory name of the calling party before the call is answered, and to store that information in memory.
