Collins & Aikman buys Crossley Carpet.

Dalton, Ga.-based Collins & Aikman Floorcoverings has acquired Nova Scotia-based Crossley Carpet Mills to better serve the Canadian market.

"The acquisition is an excellent fit in terms of technology, products, and markets served," Collins & Aikman CEO Mac Bridger said in a prepared statement.

"Crossley's woven capability will add another important product category to the company's portfolio," he said. "We will now be able to offer a full range of complementary products--from six-foot roll and modular tile to broadloom to wovens."
