Collier Beats 2007 Emissions Standard.

RENO, Nev. -- Collier Technologies, Inc. (CTI (Computer Telephone Integration) Combining data with voice systems in order to enhance telephone services. For example, automatic number identification (ANI) allows a caller's records to be retrieved from the database while the call is routed to the appropriate party. ) announced today the performance numbers on their new low emissions 11 Liter "city engine." The city engine is designed and specifically targeted for transit and heavy duty services, operating on a CTI developed mixture of 30% (by volume) mixture of hydrogen, with the balance of natural gas (HCNG). The engine has documented NOx emission levels well below the .2 gms/hp-hr standard set for heavy-duty engines beginning in 2007, at .08gms/hp-hr across the engine's power range. This is without any exhaust catalytic treatment.

Jones was born in Los Angeles, California.
, said, "We are pleased to be able to offer

these extremely low emissions on an engine that will deliver 300hp with about 900 ft lbs of torque. We are also pleased with the overall fuel savings and increased engine life expectancies due to operating in a lean burn Lean burn is an internal combustion of lean air-fuel mixtures. It happens at very high air-fuel ratios (up to 65:1), so the mixture has considerably less amount of fuel in comparison to stoichiometric combustion ratio (14.7 for petrol).  mode at lower than normal exhaust temperatures." CTI is in partnership with Daewoo Heavy Industries and Hess Microgen to produce the engines in the U.S. The engine will undergo California Air Resources Board California Air Resources Board (CARB) is the "clean air agency" of the state of California in the United States. Established originally in 1967, it is a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency, an organization which reports directly to the California  (CARB) certification over the next year, while being put in service in several anticipated demonstration platforms.
