It was the capital of the colony of New Netherland from 1626 to 1664, when it was captured by the British and renamed New York.  Center," part of a repositioning strategy to take advantage of the high density foot traffic that passes by and through the building. Space is available for leasing at street level, on the second floor, and in the subway concourse.

Collegiate Realty has appointed George F. Donohue, president of William B. May International, and Jonathan C. Rudes, executive vice president, and Erik F. Alberti, real estate adviser, as brokers for the property.

"Nine subway lines stop under the building and more than two million riders come through the building concourse every month," said Casey Kemper, portfolio manager for Collegiate Realty. "The volume of foot traffic at street level is extremely high. We already have a major franchisee, Mrs. Fields Mrs. Fields Cookies is a chain of bakeries, located mostly in the United States, founded by Debbi Fields (b. 1956, Park City, Utah). Mrs. Fields and her husband started their business in the late 1970s, opening the first of many retail bakeries in Palo Alto, California, selling , in the building and we believe that the location is ideal for other retailers, such as a major apparel retailer, a bank, fitness center or a food court."

"This is a unique opportunity," Donohue said. 'There is no other large space of this size available with the enormous volume of potential customers passing by each day." He said that only Grand Central Station, Penn Station and the Times Square subway complex have greater volumes of traffic.

William B. May was founded in 1866, and the repositioning of 210 Broadway brings together the oldest real estate broker in the U.S. and the oldest Protestant body in the U.S. with a continuous history of service.
