College visit by training champ.


THE nation's reigning postgraduate training champion Gill Morris visited Solihull College to inspire staff and students.

The visit was organised with the VTCT VTCT Vocational Training Charitable Trust  (Vocational Training Charitable Trust The arrangement by which real or Personal Property given by one person is held by another to be used for the benefit of a class of persons or the general public. ) and co-ordinated by Yvonne Malpass, head of beauty and holistic therapy at the college.

Yvonne said: "Evidence suggests there are not enough people entering the industry with a high enough standard of customer service.

"Our students are trained in all aspects of retail to prepare them for the world of work. They learn how to meet and greet customers, talk to clients and manage relationships with the public."

During the day, Gill Morris, who is the director of GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) See UTC.

 Tec Ltd, carried out customer care training with more than 20 tutors.

She said: "Customer care can be overlooked and yet it is the single most important aspect of business success."
