The American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of  Youth Policy Forum and Pathways to College Network have released a new report titled "The Link Between High School Reform and College Success for Low-Income and Minority Youth."

The report, written by Monica Martinez of KnowledgeWorks Foundation and Shayna Klopott, a doctoral candidate at Columbia University Columbia University, mainly in New York City; founded 1754 as King's College by grant of King George II; first college in New York City, fifth oldest in the United States; one of the eight Ivy League institutions. , provides an in-depth review of predictors of college-going behavior and how those behaviors have been addressed within the high school reform movement.
