The recipient, Dr. Moujalli Hourani, associate professor and chair of civil engineering at Manhattan College, will select one or two deserving student scholars to work with him in research of a field of interest of his choosing. Dr. Hourani began teaching at the College in 1988. "Charles and I learned so much from our fathers, who always stressed that education and hard work were the keys to success," said Mr. Tomasetti, chairman of Thornton-Tomasetti Group. "We are extremely happy to be able to provide this ongoing opportunity to further the pursuit of academic excellence to the faculty and students of our alma mater," added Dr. Thornton.
