College calls for work-taster help.


LECTURERS at Hereward College in Coventry Coventry, city, England
Coventry (kŏv`əntrē, kŭv`–), city (1991 pop. 318,718) and metropolitan district, central England. Coventry is an industrial center noted for its automobile production.
, which takes disabled and able bodied students, are appealing for companies to offer work experience placements amid fears bosses are reluctant to accept students with disabilities.

Placements are needed for about 100 students, aged 17 to mid-20s, who are doing National Vocational Qualification levels two and three in subjects such as information technology and business administration.

Among them are able bodied students and students with disabilities.

 are making it difficult for everyone whose job it is to find work experience for their students. I think with us because we are an integrated college there is a fear of the unknown.

Once we have invited people in or been out to speak to them we find attitudes usually change."
