The award congratulates learning providers that deliver outstanding teaching and learning and are well led and managed. award at a prestigious ceremony in London. Gateshead College received the award at an event organised by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service, which celebrates excellence in further education and skills provision. It is just the latest success for the college, following an "outstanding" report from Government inspectors Ofsted. Richard Thorold, principal of Gateshead College, said: "This is testament to the incredible effort and commitment by everyone at the college and the efforts undertaken by our students." And the minister for further education, Kevin Brennan Kevin Brennan is the name of several notable people:
