 Conway Welch, PhD, RN, Dean for the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (VUSN) is one of the graduate schools of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. VUSN offers a Master's of Science in Nursing as well as a Ph.D. in Nursing Science and Doctor of Nursing Practice. , was recently named to Modern Healthcare's list of the Top 25 Women in Healthcare for 2009. She was recognized for her leadership in the areas of nursing education, emergency preparedness, HIV/AIDS awareness, global health and the education of health care professionals in the U.S. Military. Conway-Welch will celebrate her 25th year as Dean of the Vanderbilt School of Nursing this fall and is one of the longest sitting deans of a School of Nursing in the country.
