Colleen Colmenares Joins Wayport's Healthcare Advisory Council.

CIO, HCA Central & West Texas Division Offers Insight, Experience for Wayport's Healthcare Strategy

AUSTIN, Texas -- Wayport, Inc., an international leader in the design and integration of applications and software over wired and wireless carrier grade networks, announced today that Colleen Colmenares, CIO, HCA Central and West Texas Division, has joined Wayport's Healthcare Advisory Council. She serves with Eric Yablonka, Vice President and CIO of the University of Chicago Hospitals and Health System and Kevin McKeand, Vice President and General Manager, Wayport Healthcare division.

Colmenares brings 13 years of experience in healthcare IT operations to Wayport. In 1994, she joined HCA as a Hospital Director of Information Technology, after spending the prior four years working on the Space Station Freedom project with NASA/Lockheed managing IT network and customer support operations. She quickly moved into the role as CIO and has served in that capacity for the past 11 years with the majority of that time spent in Austin with St. David's Healthcare/HCA Central & West Texas Division. She has been responsible for seven acute care hospitals and two rehabilitation hospitals in the Austin metro area and El Paso, Texas. St. David's HealthCare is a partnership between the not-for-profit St. David's HealthCare System and HCA - Hospital Corporation of America, the nation's largest provider of health care.

She has also served as President of the Austin Chapter of HIMSS, of which she was a founding board member.

The Wayport Healthcare Advisory Council's primary objective is to provide advice and guidance to Wayport as it develops services and products for the healthcare industry.

* Provide infrastructure support to enhance reliability and quality of healthcare
