Collective efforts needed to improve law and order situation.

ISLAMABAD, April 24, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- State Minister For Education Ghulam Farid Kathia has said on Friday collective efforts are needed to improve law and order situation in Swat areas. While talking to PTV in Good Morning Pakistan he hoped that all the political parties would go ahead with effective implementation of law and order in Swat. He further said that no nation could succeed without the support of their people. He said that masses should support the government steps pertaining to law and order situation in the province. The Nizam-e-Adl regulation is not for one individual or group but it is for the people of Malakand Division. It is the genuine demand of the Malakand people, it is not done under any pressure and not on the instruction of any one, he added. He said some elements wanted to sabotage the system in Swat, Dir and Buner but The government would take strict action against those who spread terror and want to establish parallel government in the province. He said the situation in Swat is returning to normalcy. The joint efforts are required to deal with terrorism and extremism. To a question, he said Sufi Muhammad is a peaceful person. Sufi Muhammad remarks about democracy, high and supreme courts are his personal views, but he does not challenge the writ of the government.
