The firm recently purchased the assets of Roehr Tool Corp., Hudson, Mass., said to have originated collapsible cores back in 1965. Progressive will offer Roehr's line of pre-engineered collapsible C-Cores asits new RT series and is also introducing the GZ series, which is shorter than other collapsible cores--an advantage in stack and spinning-cube molds with height or orientation limitations. Progressive also introduced roller pullers that control the opening sequence of parting lines in a three-plate or stripper-plate mold mold, name for certain multicellular organisms of the various classes of the kingdom Fungi, characteristically having bodies composed of a cottony mycelium.
