Collaborative efforts pay off for SIOR.The New Jersey Chapter of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR SIOR Society of Industrial and Office Realtors SIOR Specialist, Industrial and Office Real estate ) has been very active during 2006 with collaborative efforts within the real estate industry. With the size and scope of SIOR, it only makes sense we participate with various organizations in our area. We will continue to cooperate going forward, as we find mutual benefits for SIOR members and the industry overall. Because of the intensity of the industry and continual modifications, you can never stop learning. Most individual organizations cover specific topics generic to their expertise. There are so many aspects to commercial real estate, it helps all of us to "cross-pollinate cross-pol·li·nate tr.v. cross-pol·li·nat·ed, cross-pol·li·nat·ing, cross-pol·li·nates 1. To pollinate (a flower) by means of cross-pollination. 2. " by attending different seminars and educational opportunities. At SIOR, we focus our expertise within the brokerage, market information, transactions and consultation aspects of commercial real estate. These topics include leasing, sales/investments and financing. Even these specialties drive a need for us to be kept current with things like construction, zoning, land use and so on. In 2006, we collaborated with NAIOP NAIOP National Association of Industrial and Office Properties NAIOP National Association of Industrial and Office Parks NAIOP Navigational Aid Inoperative for Parts , CoreNet, IOREBA IOREBA Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association , SIOR- Pa. Chapter and GE for Educational Seminars. General Electric Real Estate has a global alliance with SIOR. As part of this effort, GE provides education seminars primarily on sales training. In March, the topic was Socratic SOCRATIC - An early interactive learning system (not a language(?)) developed at Bolt, Beranek & Newman. [Sammet 1969, p. 702]. Selling which really focuses on asking the right questions and handling objections correctly. In addition, our NJ SIOR chapter is associating with Rutgers and should have some exciting news in the near future. Our stellar reputation and extensive real estate accomplishments continue to make the SIOR designation extremely well respected throughout our industry. Nationally, SIOR brokers consistently are the first choice of corporate decision makers when they are seeking advisement Deliberation; consultation. A court takes a case under advisement after it has heard the arguments made by the counsel of opposing sides in the lawsuit but before it renders its decision. ADVISEMENT. or market information. Because of the high transaction requirements and ethical standards, any SIOR is instantly given priority credibility. Our members are some of the most noteworthy brokers in our market. We strive to continue to partner with various professional organizations. I am very honored hon·or n. 1.
