Colin scoops a Sky Blues bonus; GAME ON: speedway.


THE Sky Blues were not the only winners at Highfield Road on Wednesday night - Buildbase Bees boss Colin Pratt Colin Pratt (born 10 October 1938) in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire)[1] is a former motorcycle speedway rider and current promoter of the Coventry Bees who compete in the British Elite League.  was celebrating as well.

Pratt, along with Bees riders Morten Risager Morten Risager (born April 30, 1987 in Denmark) - a Danish speedway rider.

 and Martin Smolinski, enjoyed a meal, a question and answer session and a quiz in the company of representatives from the city's leading sporting lights - including Coventry rugby club, Coventry Blaze and Coventry Crusaders.

But Pratt really excelled when it came to winning money on the night. As well as tipping City to win 2-0 at 8/1, he also scooped the raffle worth pounds 393.

Pratt said: "It was really enjoyable and we have to thank Caroline at Coventry City for organising it. We were well looked after by Amy Jones, the daughter of Brandon veteran rider Ron, and it was a great idea. Quite a lot of people said they were interested in coming to watch the speedway.

"Morten got talking with Claus Jorgensen and I think they struck up a friendship. I think Claus may come and watch Morten on the odd occasion."

As for the raffle money, Pratt admitted: "We said we would share it among the four of us if we won it, so we all went away nearly pounds 100 better off than when we arrived."
