Secretary Powell strongly encouraged the U.S. business community to engage with the Council to advise and push the U.S. Administration to conclude and ratify strong free trade agreements.

We are outspoken in favor of a Free Trade Area of the Americas, U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement, and U.S.-Central American Free Trade Agreement, which we believe are essential for true hemispheric development and democratic partnership," stated William R.
