Coleman Massey.

Caroline Thompson Coleman and Matthew Bradley Massey were united in marriage in a candlelight ceremony January 28 at Seaside Chapel. Rev. Jeff Miller was the officiant.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Price Coleman and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Coleman of Corinth and the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Foose of Thornton. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Boyd Massey and the late JoAnne Bradley Massey. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bradley of Brandon and Mrs. Robert Massey and the late Mr. Massey of Jackson.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown of ivory duchess satin. The strapless, princess style gown featured vertical bands of Alencon lace. Covered buttons extended down the back of the gown onto a chapel train. Caroline wore her mother's veil of antique Belgian lace. In her bouquet of ivory and white roses, the bride carried a gold baby locket which had belonged to the groom's sister, Amanda Brooks Massey. She wore her great-grandmother's pearl and diamond lavalier. Her garter of heirloom lace was created by her aunt, Cindy Foose.

Matron of honor was Camille Hassel, and maid of honor was Brooke Johnston. Bridesmaids were Karen Dillon, Beth Eddleman, Emily Fair, Lee Hederman, Lyn Hines, Jodie Low, Emily Anne Moody, Emily Oxford, and Mary Grace Penick. The attendants wore two-piece ensembles of charcoal matte satin with bias wrapped tops with floor-length A-line skirts. Their bouquets of varying shades of pink roses were hand-tied with charcoal ribbon with gray pearl studding.

Best man was Dr. Boyd Massey. Groomsmen were Brad Massey, Taylor Goodman, Bryan Johnston, Ricky Johnston, Bo McCollum, Walter Simmons, Ward Stucky, and Eric Stupka. Scripture readers were Amanda Kellum and Ron Emery. Chamber music was provided by Seaside Chapel musicians. Following the pronouncement of marriage, Caroline and Matt received Holy Communion as Katy Apostle sang The Lord's Prayer. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Santa Rosa Beach Club with music by Meet the Press.

The wedding weekend began on Thursday with a casual supper in the beach home of the bride's parents. The day before the wedding, the bride and her attendants were honored with a luncheon in the Destin harbor home of Pam and Larry Edwards. Following the rehearsal, the couple was honored with cocktails and dinner at Criolla's, hosted by Jill and Boyd Massey.

Following a honeymoon to San Francisco and the Napa Valley, the couple is at home in Charleston, South Carolina, where Matt is an orthopaedic surgery resident and Caroline is a pathology resident at the Medical University of South Carolina.
