COLEBRIDGE Aces, the reigning Birmingham League Premier Division champions, have assembled another formidable squad in defence of their title.

, who has been named as the top player in the city yet again, in the 2009/10 ranking list, has hinted he may not be a regular during the campaign, but is sure to play in the crunch matches against Smiths Wood A and Hamstead A. Midland League individual champion and Birmingham 2008/9 Player of the Season Edward Lynn will be a key figure for the Shirley-based side.

Lynn had a long break from the sport, but is currently in great form.

England ranked Sarra Wang has stepped up from the B side and will use the opportunity to play against the best players in the West Midlands, as ideal practice in her bid to gain a place in the British squad for the 2012 London Olympics There have been two London Olympics (London hosting the Olympic Games), in 1908 and 1948, with a third scheduled for 2012.
