Cole announces retirement

 United and England striker Andy Cole Andrew Alexander "Andy" Cole (born October 15 1971 in Nottingham) is an English footballer, who is one of the highest scoring players in the game's history. He currently plays for Sunderland.  announced his retirement on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old had been playing for his home-town club Nottingham Forest this season but failed to score in 11 appearances before his contract was cancelled two weeks ago.
