Coldwell moves to 'human' space on Madison.


Coldwell Banker Commercial Unlimited Properties and Coldwell Banker Hunt Kennedy New Developments Division have recently expanded their presence at 555 Madison Avenue Madison Avenue, celebrated street of Manhattan, borough of New York City. . The two growing companies have jointly taken 6,500 square feet of office space and 2,800 s/f of outdoor space--the second largest garden space for any commercial tenant in Midtown Manhattan--on the 12th floor at the Class A office building.

"We visited more than 10 types of offices throughout Manhattan," said Michonski, "and knew I did not want this office to be traditional in design. We wanted to represent the culture and values that make Coldwell Banker Commercial Unlimited Properties and Coldwell Banker Hunt Kennedy New Developments Division a singular presence in the real estate community."

Michonski tapped architect David McAlpin of Fradkin & McAlpin Associates LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol , whose clients include Brooklyn Brewery Brooklyn Brewery was started in 1987 by former Associated Press correspondent Steve Hindy and former Chemical Bank lending officer Tom Potter. Hindy learned to brew beer during a six year stay in various Middle Eastern nations such as Saudi Arabia and Syria, where possession and  and FAO FAO,

 Schwartz, to design the office space. "It was a pleasure to create human layout for an office, rather than creating a traditional practical office," said McAlpin.

The end result was the creation of 16 glass "officles," a cross between an office and a cubicle, which offered brokers both privacy and openness. The padded interior was to absorb sound while a glass exterior was to allow everyone to be visible to his or her neighbor. The design also called for raising the ceiling in the center of the space where the officles are located to 11 feet as a way directing the feeling of upward and away fro the officles, which do not include doors.
