Coldwell Banker Advantage buys Hot Springs agency.

Coldwell Banker Advantage Realty of Little Rock has bought Coldwell Banker Alliance Realty of Hot Springs.

The asset acquisition brings to 10 the number of Coldwell Banker Advantage Realty locations in central Arkansas. The real estate agency has offices in North Little Rock, Maumelle, Jacksonville, Conway, Cabot, Bryant and Hot Springs Village in addition to the two offices in Little Rock and now its Central Avenue location in Hot Springs.

Mike Stofer, owner of CB Alliance, said he was excited that the agents would now have the tools and support of CB Advantage to be able take the office to the next level of service.

Coldwell Banker Advantage is ranked No. 4 on Arkansas Business' list of largest real estate firms in the state. It posted sales of $389.59 million in 2006, selling 3,582 units. Coldwell Banker Alliance had sales of more than $23 million last year, said Wayne Richie, who heads CB Advantage. Before the Hot Springs deal, Coldwell Banker Advantage had 239 agents. The acquisition of Coldwell Banker Alliance added seven agents, Richie said.

Coldwell Banker Advantage is ranked as the largest residential real estate franchise in Arkansas, is ranked 164th of the largest brokerage firms in the United States by Real Trends 500 and ranked 37th in the Coldwell Banker worldwide organization.
