Cold runner system.

This company began building liquid silicone rubber molds in 1978, and in 1995 produced a valve gated cold runner system for LSR, similar to valve gates built in Europe at the time. The firm later developed a valve gated cold runner system for high consistency elastomers. Since that time, the company is said to have made many improvements to the original design, allowing valve gates to process many different rubber compounds. These compounds include LSR, silicone, fluorosilicone, nitrile, Vamac, PA, FKM, EPDM, HNBR and polycholoroprene. The company currently has hundreds of its valve gated cold runners in production. Customers are said to have seen substantial material savings, along with significant savings in cycle times, energy requirements and landfill costs. In addition, the opportunity to introduce automation into processes that could not previously be automated has been provided. The firm has developed a cold runner design to reduce injection pressures for extremely high viscosity materials. A new design will allow the company to place gates at more irregular and closer patterns than ever before. The company maintains its ISO 9001/2000 certification, as well.
