Cold/warm feed preformer. The Model 1000 Rev is said to offer significant advantages over current preformers, since this model can be supplied with a screw to accept strip stock for continuous preforming. The warm feed unit itself permits loading of one cylinder while the other is having its contents extruded. The unit offers two barrels rotating 180 [degrees] from the loading position to the preforming position, thus allowing simultaneous charging from one barrel, while the other barrel is in the operating position manufacturing blanks. In the charging position, the barrel can be either fed with pigs of robber from a mill (hot feed machine) or (with a bolt on unit) from its own integral strip fed screw extruder (cold feed machine), thereby eliminating the mill and its operator. The Model 1000 Rev has a tool head which rotates 90 [degrees] into a horizontal position horizontal position, n a posture in which the body lies flat and the feet and head remain on the same level. Also called supine. and a hydraulic jack See under Jack. a jack used for lifting, pulling, or forcing, consisting of a compact portable hydrostatic press, with its pump and a reservoir containing a supply of liquid, as oil. The unit has an extrusion volume of 10 liters, and a maximum force on the robber up to 10,000 psi PSI - Portable Scheme Interpreter . The unit contains an internal electronic measuring device for the highest blank accuracy. The company provides additional sizes of preformers in 30 and 60 liter capacities. The term is applied commonly to the study of the mechanical properties of water, other liquids, and even gases when the effects of compressibility are small. ) Circle 102 on card |
