) today announced a nationwide partnership with the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  in which the Coinstar network is programmed to accept monetary donations on behalf of the country's most trusted non-profit organization A non-profit organization (abbreviated "NPO", also "non-profit" or "not-for-profit") is a legally constituted organization whose primary objective is to support or to actively engage in activities of public or private interest without any commercial or monetary profit purposes. .

Participating locations on the Coinstar network will carry the Red Cross donation feature year round beginning on October 1. In addition, Coinstar will work with the Red Cross to more prominently display the donation feature at times when the Red Cross is providing its well-known disaster relief services.
