Coinstar Serves Its 100 Millionth Customer.

) today announced it has served its 100 millionth customer.

The milestone transaction took place yesterday at a Coinstar in a Safeway store in Silver Spring, Maryland Not to be confused with Silver Springs.
Silver Spring is an urbanized, unincorporated area in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. After Baltimore and Columbia, Silver Spring is the third most populous Census Designated Place in Maryland.

Today's news comes just 35 days after the company announced it had processed a record-breaking $1 billion in coins in 2000, bringing the total amount processed by Coinstar since 1992 to $3 billion.
