Coins aid mission church in Cuba.An initiative to help the Episcopal Church Episcopal Church, Anglican church of the United States. Its separate existence as an American ecclesiastical body with its own episcopate began in 1789. Doctrine and Organization of Cuba that was started by a single Anglican church in Milton, Ont. now has its own Web site and organizers hope to take it nationwide. Called Coins for Cuba, the program started informally two years ago at Grace Church when newly-appointed outreach coordinator John Page wondered how the parish could offer practical help to its prayer partner, the small mission church of San Pedro in Jobabo, Cuba Jobabo is a municipality and city in the Las Tunas Province of Cuba. It is located in the southern part of the province, km ( mi) south of Victoria de Las Tunas, the provincial capital. . Mr. Page asked parishioners to toss spare change into a giant bottle. To date, more than $3,000 has been collected. In addition, a group of Grace parishioners traveled to Cuba in 2005 with supplies for San Pedro and $1,600 has been allotted al·lot tr.v. al·lot·ted, al·lot·ting, al·lots 1. Prior to his election at the General Synod of 2004, he was the bishop of Montreal and metropolitan of the ecclesiastical province of Canada (which, brought contributions with him to Cuba last February.
