Coincident Geochemistry and Geophysics S Identified at Nuinsco's Athabasca Uranium Property.

TORONTO -- Nuinsco Resources Limited (TSX:NWI) announces that results of a boulder and outcrop sampling program have been received from its Diabase diabase: see basalt.

Fine- to medium-grained, dark gray to black intrusive igneous rock. Diabase is one of the dark rocks known commercially as “black granite.
Peninsula Project in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan. These geochemical anomalies are coincident with ground EM conductors that together identify prospective diamond drill targets. Nuinsco holds an option to earn 50% of the project from Trend Mining Company of Denver, Colorado.

In July 2005 272 boulder samples were collected and submitted to the Saskatchewan Research Council The Saskatchewan Research Council is a Saskatchewan, Canada technology corporation, owned by the province. It provides contract research, technology transfer and analytical services to companies in Saskatchewan and around the world.  in Saskatoon for analysis and interpretation. These samples complement 271 composite boulder samples collected in 1998. The combined sampling was conducted over 21km along the western shore of Cree Lake, although it is heavily concentrated along 5km on the Diabase Peninsula. Zones of boulder clay alteration and trace element anomalies have been identified - chlorite chlorite

Widespread group of layer silicate minerals composed of hydrous aluminum silicates, usually of magnesium and iron. The name, from the Greek for “green,” refers to chlorite's typical colour.
, illite Illite is a non-expanding, clay-sized, micaceous mineral. Illite is a phyllosilicate or layered silicate. Structurally illite is quite similar to muscovite or sericite with slightly more silicon, magnesium, iron, and water and slightly less tetrahedral aluminium and interlayer , dravite, Pb, As and Y are all described as anomalous. Alteration of this type occurs near unconformity un·con·for·mi·ty

geophysical anomalies (reported previously, 11 May 2005) provide compelling diamond drill targets. Recommendations from both the geophysical and geochemical consultants include diamond drilling of the anomalous trends as part of continued exploration on the project. Additional ground geophysics and geochemical sampling will begin immediately.

The 19,000ha Diabase Peninsula Property encompasses coincident, highly prospective, alteration and geophysical signatures indicative of possible uranium mineralization. Located on the western shore of Cree Lake approximately five kilometres north of the southern boundary of the Athabasca Basin, the Diabase Peninsula Property overlies the graphite-bearing Cable Bay Shear Zone - this structure is considered to be an important potential host for uranium mineralization in this part of the Athabasca Basin. The project is being supervised by P.L.Jones, V.P. Exploration for Nuinsco, who acts as QP under National Instrument 43-101.

Nuinsco is an exploration and development company. In addition to the Diabase Peninsula Project the Company has nickel projects in Manitoba and Quebec, base metal projects in Turkey and Ontario and a gold project in Ontario.
