Coin Bill Validator ships first production units of IVO Down Stack; revenues on this product to exceed $1.5 million.

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1995--Coin Bill Validator Inc. (NASDAQ/NMS: CBVI) today announced the company has begun shipping its first production units of the new generation IDS (IVO Down Stack) Currency Validators.

This product includes a Currency Validator and two Security Removable Cassettes.

Production began in early March 1995 and Coin Bill projects shipping 3000 units by the end of April 1995.

Based upon the different options available and the final use, these units sell between $500.00 and $700.00.

In addition to our regular IVO business, revenues from these shipments are expected to be in excess of $1.5 million.

The IDS, IVO Down Stack, is a second generation platform (GII) Currency Validator. Major enhancements have been accomplished over the predecessor Model IVO series and improved validation performance with a new optical architecture and better validation algorithms. A new currency channel design permits easy access for cleaning and note removal. Quick mount hardware makes validator installation easy. A host of advanced features makes the IDS particularly suited for the needs of the Gaming Industry and other applicable markets.

The Security Removable Cassette (SRC) is a 500 Note Stacker and has a variable as an option-the Soft Drop Analyzer (SDA).

The Soft Drop Analyzer (SDA) is an advanced system facilitating the collection of pertinent market data. This system features Cash Accountability, Coupon Data, Systems Identification and Performance History. Coin Bill believes it is the only company that can provide this product.

Other products are the Generation Two Electronics (GII) which give IDS advanced capabilities in Validation Performance, Communications, Optional Barcode and Coupon Acceptance, Performance Data Collection and Analysis, Extensive Diagnostics, and improved Packaging; Reprogrammable Via Serial Communications which employs a non-volatile memory system; Advanced Communications is multi-protocol capable-can communicate with RS-232, Optical Isolated, Open Collector, or Relay Pulse hardware configurations; Comprehensive Diagnostics test all validation systems; and Anti-Fraud Security Measures which address the Counterfeit and Stringing fraud.
