Cohesion Appoints Dr. Robert Robbins to Board of Directors.

Cohesion Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ NM: CSON), a leader in the development of proprietary resorbable biodevices and delivery systems in the fields of surgical hemostats, sealants, adhesives and adhesion prevention barriers, today announced that Robert Robbins, M.D., has joined the Company's Board of Directors, increasing the size of the Board to eight members.

Dr. Robbins has been affiliated with the Stanford University School of Medicine since 1993, where he currently serves as Director of the Heart, Heart-Lung, and Lung Transplant Program and is an Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Director of the Cardiothoracic Transplantation Laboratory.

Dr. Robbins completed his residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University Hospital. Previously, Dr. Robbins was a Pediatric Fellow of Cardiothoracic Surgery and a Pediatric Fellow of Cardiac Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and at Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, respectively. He was also a Clinical Associate, Surgery Branch NHLBI at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition, Dr. Robbins is a manuscript reviewer for a number of periodicals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Thoracic Surgery and Journal of Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery. Dr. Robbins is certified by the American Board of Surgery and by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of a number of corporations.
