 monitoring tool that captures real time traffic patterns of wireline, wireless and intelligent networks. Coherent Networks will demonstrate prOceSS7's capabilities at SUPERCOMM in Atlanta, June 4-8, 2001 in Booth #673. prOceSS7 is currently utilized by premier service providers such as British Telecommunications, COLT Telecom, France Telecom, and Deutsche Telecom.

"Across Europe and South America we have been able to help carriers extract an exhaustive view of how their customers are using their networks," said Mike Howard, president of Coherent Networks. "This has proved invaluable as they monitor interconnected traffic for service level agreements, improve customer care, provide real time answer seizure ratio In telecommunications, the Answer/Seizure ratio (ASR) is the number of successfully answered calls divided by the total number of calls attempted (seizures). Since busy signals and other rejections by the called number count as call failures, the calculated ASR value can vary  and utilize customer data for marketing purposes. We are looking to do the same for the North American market."

With a solid, referenceable customer base, Coherent Networks will extend the reach of prOceSS7 to include North American carriers who are struggling with the common issue of how to maximize current subscribers as the optimal source of revenue.

Based on Coherent Networks' SuperCDR (call detail record) technology, prOceSS7 exploits the data richness of a variety of different networks such as SS7, GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) The first high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that used the GSM technology. GPRS added a packet-switched channel to GSM, which uses dedicated, circuit-switched channels for voice conversations. , sigtran, and SIP and captures real time data on how customers are using a carriers' network in a user-friendly format. Carriers can then use this data to increase their revenues per subscriber by:
-- Reducing revenue lost unnecessarily;

-- Implementing real-time QoS and service level agreement

management initiatives;

-- Targeting market segments with increased precision; and

-- Rapidly delivering new revenue generating services.

"There is a tremendous push right now for technology that can facilitate carriers with billing reconciliation, fraud detection and intercarrier billing mediation," said Michael Allen, senior OSS Oss (ôs), city (1994 pop. 62,141), North Brabant prov., S Netherlands; chartered 1399. It is a significant industrial center. Manufactures include meat products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electrical equipment, and metalware.  analyst at Aberdeen Group. "Monitoring the signaling network in real time to capture call detail information, as Coherent Networks' prOceSS7 probe does, means that carriers can move swiftly to resolve these issues."
