This book presents the latest technologies for CRNs and considers future developments. Coverage encompasses spectrum sensing, spectrum handoff, spectrum sharing, and CRN routing schemes. Material is presented in sections on the physical layer, medium access control, the routing layer, and cross-layer considerations. A final section examines advanced topics such as ultra-wideband systems, system control in CRNs, and analytical models for multihop CRNs. Xiao is affiliated with the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama. Hu teaches in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Alabama.
