PROCEDURE: Heat the oil phase A to to 75-80[degrees]C
and mix homogeneously. Heat phase B to 75-80[degrees]C
and add to the oil phase while stirring.
Allow the emulsion to cool while stirring in such
a way that it remains in continual motion. Avoid
incorporation of air. If necessary homogenize
with a suitable dispersion unit (e.g. Ultra Turrax)
approx. 55[degrees]C. Add phase C below 40[degrees]C with
mixing. Stir while cooling until room temperature.

PROCEDURE

In a suitable vessel, dissolve EDTA in deionized
water. Add ingredients 3-7 to the batch
slowly, one at a time, with mixing. Mix batch
slowly at about 200 rpm while heating to 70[degrees]C.
Mix until uniform. When batch is uniform and
at 70[degrees]C, add Glucamate LT Thickener and mix
at 400 rpm for 5-10 minutes. Reduce mixing
speed to 200 rpm and allow batch to cool. Add
ingredient 9 when temperature reaches 40[degrees]C.
Adjust pH with citric acid to 5.8-6.2. Adjust
final viscosity with sodium chloride if necessary.

PROCEDURE:

Disperse Ecopol 14U in water at room temperature.
Blend for 30 minutes and heat to 40[degrees]C.
Add Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, cocamide
MEA and glycol distearate. Heat to
70[degrees] and hold until all the EGMS is melted.
Cool to 50[degrees]C and add Farmal HFS 2656. Add
dye, preservative and fragrance. Cool to 35[degrees]C
and adjust pH with citric acid. Cool and fill.

PROCEDURE:
Combine phase A, heating to 60[degrees]C (140[degrees]F) with
mixing. When phase A is a completely homogeneous.
solution add phase B with continued mixing.
Cool to 30[degrees]C (86[degrees]F) and then adjust
pH to 6.3-7.3 with phase C. Add phase D sequentially
and continue mixing until clear and homogeneous.

COMMENTS
This stability tested nature-based formulation
makes use of a primary surfactant selected for
high foaming and secondary surfactants included
for irritancy reduction and viscosity enhancement
to yield a shampoo with near Newtonian rheology
for an exceptionally rich feel during application.
The concentration of HallStar PEG 6000 DS C
may be modified to proportionately adjust finished
product viscosity. As presented, the viscosity
(RVTD, 5 to 100 rpm) is ~2400 cP at 25[degrees]C.

PROCEDURE:
In main kettle, weigh out the water; begin mixing
with propeller agitation. Add Disodium
EDTA to main kettle, followed by Aqua SF-1,
and sodium laureth sulfate, Continue mixing.
Neutralize to pH 6.6 with NaOH solution. Add
remaining ingredients slowly making sure not
to incorporate air. Mix until batch is homogeneous.

PROCEDURE:
Heat phase A to 85[degrees]C while stirring. Pre-heat
phase B to 55[degrees]C and add phase A while stirring
and homogenizing the emulsion. Cool down to

recommended to remove oxygen as careful as possible by
using vacuum while producing the product.
