CogniTens Accomplishes First Sales in the European Market and Broadens US Sales.

CogniTens 3D Vision Systems Ltd. ("CogniTens") announced it has delivered its first 3D non-contact measurement systems, the Optigo(TM) 100 and Optigo 100E systems, to customers in Europe in Q2 2001.

Systems have been installed at a leading manufacturer of quality automobiles based in Southern Germany, and at a service bureau in Germany. An additional system has been installed at a Dearborn, MI based leading automotive manufacturer, following several installations in the USA in late 2000. Several systems have also been installed in Japan this year, after initial sales started in early 2000. All these markets are characterized by increased demands from end users and automotive manufacturers for higher quality cars.

Due to very high image acquisition speed, measurements can be performed on the shop floor, with an accuracy of down to 20 microns, regardless of the complexity, size or features of a part. Analysis of the 3D measurements include highly dense coordinates of an object's surface, cross-sections, measurement of features such as holes and slots, as well as object edges.
