Cognex refines strategy.

Machine vision inspection systems specialist Cognex, Natick, MA, has formed two product teams within its Modular Vision Systems division to focus on new markets and applications for machine vision systems. One of the teams is ID products, which will design, develop and market machine vision systems that can quickly and reliably read codes. The codes have been stamped, scribed, etched, printed or otherwise formed directly on the surfaces of manufactured goods. The other team is Expert Sensors, which will focus on the design, development and marketing of ultra-low cost vision sensors designed to solve a specific automation problem.
