 (formerly Cogentrix Energy, Inc.) ("Cogentrix"), announced today that it will redeem all of its outstanding 8.75% Senior Notes due 2008 (the "Notes") on December 14, 2007. Cogentrix will redeem the Notes at a redemption price Redemption price
