Inc has launched version 4.0 of its Cogent software suite for QNX Software Systems Ltd's QNX RTOS v6 operating system for the embedded market. The latest version of the Cogent suite, which includes a range of software tools for QNX developers, device drivers and an API, features source code compatibility between QNX v4, QNX v6 and Linux operating systems. This enables applications written for one operating system to work in all three and usually without any code changes. Availability and pricing were not revealed.
