Prior to joining Cogent Healthcare, Dr. Holman served as an associate medical director at HealthPartners Medical Group in Minneapolis, where he founded one of the country's largest hospitalist programs and managed the division of hospital services. Dr. Holman created one of the first hospitalist fellowship fellowship Graduate education A post-residency training period of 1–2 yrs in a subspecialty–eg, hand surgery, which allows a specialized physician to develop a particular expertise that may have a related subspecialty board; fellowship time is often  programs in the nation, led numerous quality improvement initiatives across the health system, and served on the HealthPartners Medical Board of Governors. He is currently Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Society of Hospital Medicine, and serves as chair of the leadership development activities for that organization. In 2002, Dr. Holman was presented with the Society of Hospital Medicine's Outstanding Service Award in Hospital Medicine.

Before coming to Cogent Healthcare, Dr. Goldsholl served as the executive director of the hospital medicine program for Covenant Healthcare in Michigan Michigan (mĭsh`ĭgən), upper midwestern state of the United States.
