LLC - Logical Link Control
announced that, as of October 19, its employees have worked one year or approximately 657,000 hours without a lost-time accident.

"What is most significant about this achievement is that the refinery's 300 employees consistently put safety first while a tremendous amount of construction activity is taking place," said Chief Executive Officer Jack Lipinski. "We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and believe it demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safety excellence."

The refinery also won a national award for its safety record earlier this year, the company said. The National Petrochemical & Refiners Association presented the refinery with the Gold Award for achieving a 42 percent reduction in the total recordable incident rate in 2005.

The company attributes its safety achievements to management and employees working together to increase safety awareness, as well as its ongoing investments in facility safety improvements.
