The Kirkby-based business support organisation has more than 300 members, including Jaguar Land Rover See LANRover. and Vertex. This was Paula's working day: 6am: I'm an early riser. I'm not a member of a gym, but three times a week I start my day with 20 minutes of my own exercise regime. It's based on the Callanetics model and really gives me a good start to the day. 8am: We've got a board meeting today, so I'm in about half an hour earlier than normal. We're addressing changes at the board in terms of governance and also discussing our corporate plan taking us into 2013. 10am: We've worked through a huge amount of detail at the meeting, but have had to curtail cur·tail tr.v. cur·tailed, cur·tail·ing, cur·tails To cut short or reduce. I start on that with the help of a nice strong coffee. Noon: One of the team is just going over some additional information with me for our website and our e-newsletter that is about to get distributed to our increasing membership. 1pm: I'm desk-dining while looking at a partnership working document about the local and wider business community. 1.30pm: We're always keen to promote stories on the work of key stakeholders Stakeholders All parties that have an interest, financial or otherwise, in a firm-stockholders, creditors, bondholders, employees, customers, management, the community, and the government. and the broader business community. I'm just taking stock of where our priorities lie as we look at the autumn/winter quarter of events and publicity for Chamber members. 2.30pm: We'll shortly be publishing research findings on Knowsley Chamber surveys. I'm taking some work home just to make sure things are in place for early next week when the majority of people return from the summer recess. 6.15pm: My husband, Steve, and I enjoy a nice home-made curry for dinner with a glass of wine - bliss. I enjoy cooking and like to experiment in the kitchen. Rather than follow particular recipes, I like to try and develop my own style. 7.30pm: My husband is keen on golf and has tried to interest me in it for a while now, without success. For a bit of fun we have a Wii golf competition going. We have a quick play on it and I'm happy to still be winning. 9.30pm: After a bit of time relaxing in front of the TV, I head up to bed to read before another busy day.
