) announced today that James A. Sabala has been named to serve as Coeur's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Sabala returns to Coeur after serving as Chief Financial Officer of Stillwater Mining Company Stillwater Mining Company (NYSE: SWC) is a palladium and platinum mining company with headquarters located at Billings, Montana, United States. ), a palladium and platinum mining company, since April 1998. In his previous employment with Coeur, Mr. Sabala served in several capacities including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1988 to 1998. He succeeds Geoffrey A. Burns.
